'Teen Angel' by Glennyce Eckersley. A great book of true life angelic encounters involving teenagers. It can be very comforting for young people to know that there is help available to them from the angels.

'Working with Guides and Angels' by Ruth White. This book contains a vast amount of practical information for communing with your own angels and guides in everyday life. Descriptions of different types of angel are given (including those amazing 'car-parking angels!!) and many suggestions for meditations and invocations.

Terry Lynn Taylor has written many inspirational angel books. Here in 'Creating With the Angels' she guides us to discover and expand our creative expression through angel consciousness.

'Guardians of Hope - the Angels Guide to Personal Growth' by Terry Lynn Taylor. A book in six sections: Inner Angel Guidance, Empowerment through positive thinking, Recovery and Wisdom, Angelic Accelerators, Let go and let the Angels and Go out and Love some more. A very joyful and enlightening read.

'May the Angels Be with You - a psychic helps you find your spirit guides and your true purpose' by Gary Quinn. A book filled with anecdotes of how the author has helped many different people connect with their own angels and access divine help in their lives. It was while reading this book that the inspiration for this site hit!

'Angel Magic - all about angels and how to bring their magic into your life' by Margaret Neylon. A lovely little book, which is at once both light and deep - visualisations, meditations and rituals are spread throughout.

Living With Angels - Bringing angels into your everyday life' by Theolyn Cortens. A very informative book, detailing just about everything you could want to know about angels! From angels throughout history to modern day experiences and wonderful meditations to meet your guardian and solar angels. Abundance, archangels of the tree of life - a very uplifting read.

 'To Hear the Angels Sing: An Odyssey of Co-Creation with the Devic Kingdom' by Dorothy Maclean, one of the founders of the Findhorn Community in Scotland. While this book is autobiographical in content it mainly consists of the communications from Devas and nature spirits received by the author. The communications led to the creation of the Findhorn garden with it's 40 lb. cabbages growing in soil that was little more than sand. Fascinating and powerful.

'The Abundance Book' by John Randolph Price. A diminutive publication packed with powerful writing to help develop a prosperity consciousness - includes a 40 day plan and many quotes from different inspirational writers and books.

'Manifest Your Destiny - The Nine Spiritual Principles for Getting Everything You Want' by Dr. Wayne Dyer. The nine principles are really ways to start living from your higher self and be a better person. Details of amazing morning and evening creation meditations are included in the book.

 Fiction

'Miss Garnet's Angel' by Salley Vickers. Two stories unravel side by side in this gentle but continually surprising novel - the ancient apocryphal tale of Tobias and the Archangel Raphael and Miss Garnet's own journey of self discovery in Venice. A book full of angels in many forms - unusual, moving and forgiving.

Healthy Eating and Health Titles

'Angel Foods: Healthy Recipes for Heavenly Bodies' by Cherie Soria and Kim Waters. A book focused on the healing benefits of raw foods - fantastic recipes.

'The Healing Foods Cookbook' by Jane Sen who is head chef at the Bristol Cancer Help Centre and also winner of the BBC Radio 4 Award for Outstanding Contribution to Healthy Eating! It doesn't come much healthier than this. All the recipes are easy to understand and absolutely delicious sounding - fantastic guide to eating well.

'Vegan - over 90 mouthwatering recipes for all occasions' by Tony Weston and Yvonne Bishop. A lovely colourful book with lots of full colour pictures - fantasic array of recipes here from basics like yogurt, cream cheese and pizza bases to more exotic dishes such as crispy duckless pancakes, apricot, beetroot and cumin soup and baba ghanoush . There is a fantastic list of sandwich ideas and many recipes with a bit of a 'cheesy' fix too. Included are some of those trendy ingredients like quinoa, millet and amaranth that it's hard to know what to do with - multiple uses are suggested, both sweet and savoury. A book after our own hearts with a recipe for vegan haggis, and also chocolate features heavily in the desserts section - who could resist a chocolate mousse with a banana cake heart?

'Detox Your world' by Shazzie of www.shazzie.com - a fantastic guide to truly healthy living. There is a lot of information on non-food toxins and advice on how to lessen the effects and amounts of these in your life. Lots of wonderful ideas for eating more raw food and less cooked, including some detailed detox plans. Some very interesting 'detox helpers' are detailed such as meditation, skin brushing, laughing etc. but one stood out for us - the Tibetan Rejuvenation Rites. These are 5 simple exercises which when performed each day turn back that clock! They certainly are envigorating and it's almost worth buying the book for these alone :) There are also success stories and lots of raw recipes all presented in Shazzie's non-judgemental and often humerous way.
